B CorpFramework

Mandatory B Corp certification for every partner, tenant, and operator in the programme — a structural values filter that determines eligibility, not a badge applied after the fact.

A Values Filter, Not a Marketing Requirement

B Corp certification will be a condition of participation for every partner, tenant, operator, and major supplier in the Mentawai One programme. It is not a preference and it is not negotiable. An organisation that cannot meet or credibly pursue B Corp standards is not eligible to participate — regardless of capital size or commercial opportunity.

What It Requires

Independent Verification of What You Actually Do

B Corp certification requires organisations to meet verified standards across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers — scored and audited independently. Annual ESG audits, mandatory ESG Risk Committees for larger entities, and quarterly reporting dashboards ensure the standard is maintained, not just achieved once.

Why It Matters Here

Shared Standards Create a Shared Culture

When every organisation operating within the SEZ is held to the same values baseline, the programme's conservation and community commitments become self-reinforcing. A hotel operator that cuts corners on environmental performance undermines the conservation covenant. B Corp makes that outcome structurally harder to reach.

Governance Built on Verifiable Standards

B Corp is one layer of a governance architecture designed to outlast its founders. Explore the full framework.
