The Mensarius Oath

Ethics as Entry Condition

Every partner, operator, and investor who participates in the Mentawai One programme will sign the Mensarius Oath — a living commitment to the programme's ten pillars covering community prosperity, indigenous respect, environmental stewardship, structured innovation, economic diversification, distinctive design, cultural leadership, experiential focus, originality, and ethics. The Oath is not a statement of intent. It is a binding condition of participation.

The Ten Pillars

Innovate. Don't Imitate.

Every element of Mentawai One will emerge from the unique context of the islands rather than importing concepts from elsewhere. Community prosperity is not a CSR obligation — it is a revenue stream. Environmental stewardship is not a constraint — it is the product. Cultural authenticity is not a marketing angle — it is the reason people will come. The ten pillars are interdependent. Removing any one of them changes what the programme is.

Accountability

Verified, Not Declared

B Corp certification provides independent verification of values compliance across all partners. Annual ESG audits, quarterly reporting dashboards covering reef-health index, local-sourcing ratio, and cultural-heritage score, and mandatory ESG Risk Committees ensure the pillars are maintained in operation — not just signed at the start. The Mensarius Oath has teeth.

The Values That Define the Programme
